Hey there! It's Alison, and I'm SO glad you’re here! This week’s podcast episode is going to be SO MUCH FUN! If you could sit down and have a chat with one of the top entrepreneurs and YouTubers in the world right now, what questions would you ask about YouTube?

Well, it's your lucky day because today I'll be interviewing the amazing Sunny Lenarduzzi, and she's going to explain EVERYTHING that puzzles you about the wonderful world of YouTube.

WHEW! This episode is SO jam-packed and filled to the brim with truth bombs and knowledge nuggets around every corner!

SO if you, my friend, want to learn about what makes a YouTube video go viral, why YouTube saturation is a myth, how YouTube can be used to grow your business, and why it is the most evergreen of all platforms, then this episode is for you! Thanks for joining us!!

Get to Know Sunny – YouTuber Extraordinaire

Sunny’s journey has been, as she describes it, quite the whirlwind. It wasn’t a linear path to growth, but, as you and I know, that’s how most growth is.

Sunny started out her career as a journalist and thought that is what she'd be doing for the rest of her life. She went to broadcasting school and had a sweet gig working at the Olympics. It was her dream job.

Sunny soon realized that maaaaaaybe, just maybe, she didn’t want to do that for the rest of her life. She wanted to have more impact on the world and be able to have a direct line of communication with the people she was speaking to. Does that make your heart beat fast too? OH MY HECK, I feel this in my bones!!

Sunny wanted to have a dialogue with the world, not just speak at it. Enter social media! Sunny started learning more about it, she studied it, and tried to really figure out how to leverage it to generate not just a brand but build a business!

So, Sunny started her first business – an online magazine. Sure, that business was far from successful, but it taught her everything she needed to know to later succeed. Through it, she learned that focusing on ad revenue was the wrong way to build a solid and sustainable business.

From there, Sunny mastered social media, studied the platforms, and ended up getting a bunch of clients who wanted her to work her magic on their businesses!

Sunny’s View on YouTube

One thing Sunny learned about YouTube is how all of the platforms are unique, but at the end of the day, algorithms work the same way. Use that to your advantage!

How? Algorithms need to understand WHO you’re talking to and WHAT you’re talking about in order to categorize your channel. And that’s exactly how you gain views and momentum.

This means that you have to have your niche veeeery defined in order to blow up! Failing to narrow down your niche will cause your video to get lost in an infinite sea of content on YouTube.

Sunny also mentions something many people forget – YouTube is evergreen. What does that mean Alison? Sunny says, “YouTube is an evergreen sales machine that works for you even when you’re not working. Basically, videos on YouTube are like a great red lipstick or a little black dress: They’re timeless!” You can create one piece of content on YouTube and it will work for you for the rest of time. Sunny still has videos from five or six years ago that are STILL bringing her leads every single day. (NO WAY!) It’s a sales machine that works for you even when you’re not working.

I know what you’re thinking: “Yeah, but YouTube is already so saturated…”

As Sunny says, the main reason why YouTube feels saturated is because people are doing it wrong. It’s only saturated if you try to jump in the deep end.

What does she mean by that? Well, it’s better if I let her use her own words to explain! So, give this week’s episode a listen, because I’m sure you’re gonna looooove it and learn a bunch of cool stuff from it!
